Privacy
Last updated October 16, 2026.
Short version
- No accounts, no ads, no analytics, no tracking cookies.
- We read public Steam and FACEIT profile data for the player you look up.
- We keep a small record of each lookup for up to 120 days to measure how accurate the score is.
- Anyone can hide a profile and delete what we stored about it with the This is me link on its page.
Players who get looked up
When someone checks a Steam profile, aimcheck fetches public data from the Steam Web API and the FACEIT Data API: profile name, avatar, account age, Steam level, game playtime, friends list, ban counts and CS and FACEIT stats. We only see what those services show publicly.
What we store:
- Cached API responses, so we don't ask Steam and FACEIT again on every visit. Kept for between one hour and seven days, then deleted.
- A lookup record: Steam ID, date, score, risk tier, whether the profile was public, and ban counts. We check later whether the account got banned, to measure accuracy. Kept for up to 120 days, then deleted.
We use this data because we have a legitimate interest in helping players understand who they're playing with, using information those players already made public. You can object at any time: the This is me link on a result page hides that profile from aimcheck and deletes what we stored about it.
Visitors
- We don't use cookies to track you. The only cookie is a security token set when you send the This is me form.
- Fonts and images load from aimcheck itself. Player avatars load from Steam's servers.
- The site runs on Vercel, which keeps standard server logs (including IP addresses) for a short time to run and secure the service. The database is hosted by Neon.
Children
aimcheck isn't aimed at children under 13 and doesn't knowingly collect information from them.
Your rights and contact
You can ask to see, correct or delete data about your Steam account, or object to it being processed. The fastest way is the This is me link on your result page. If you're in the EU or UK, you can also complain to your data protection authority.
Changes
If we add ads or analytics, this page will be updated first and you'll be asked for consent where the law requires it.
